When Beve wasn’t even a year old, he had already experienced FOUR different homes…one leaving him with an untreated broken jaw. His jaw is now permanently offset but it does not hinder eating, does not cause him any further discomfort, and we think it makes him look extra unique. After a couple attempts at different training programs that proved unsuccessful for Beve, he met the team here at CRCCS. Finally, a place that understood him! Our first job was to listen and learn what Beve was trying to communicate. And he had a lot to tell us!!!
Beve has a gentle heart and a buzzing mind. He thrives with mental stimulation. He has mastered many tricks, he loves to engage and he is an Olympian master of the flirt pole, and pretty good about not destroying his toys.
I AM REALLY GOOD AT: playtime with my family. Indoors or outside, let’s find a game!!!
I AM AT MY BEST WHEN: there is structure and routine in my life. Routines help me build confidence.
I DON’T REALLY LOVE: strangers, so I need a confident sidekick who can help me when meeting new people and advocate for me when I need a little extra time.
I NEED SOME HELP WITH: overstimulating environments. I’m a good boy in the home but sometimes I like the quiet and safe space of my crate.
WHAT I REALLY WANT YOU TO KNOW ABOUT ME: I was born on the 4th of July which makes me a firecracker-baby!!! I will light up your life and hope to be as celebrated as the holiday. Using my brain to solve problems and empty out my kong is so much fun. I’m also super good at nosework and finding hidden treats around the house. Engaging with my people brings me a lot of joy, so please help me find a family who wants to have a super smart (and handsome) dog.
