If you are faced with extraordinary veterinary bills for your pet, the following organizations may be able to help. Please read their information carefully, as each group has its own guidelines and requirements.

Shakespeare Animal Fund
a Reno-based 501(c)(3) that helps pet owners in need cover emergency vet bills. We don’t require documentation of need. It’s all on the honor system. But we do pay vets directly – versus sending money directly to beneficiaries – up to $150.

This fund helps pay for veterinarian bills for those who need help, but their main purpose is to assist others to find ways to raise funds themselves.
The Pet Fund
The Pet Fund is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit association that provides financial assistance to owners of domestic animals who need urgent veterinary care.
RedRover Relief (with a link to – RedRover Relief provides financial assistance grants and additional resources, so pet owners and rescuers can care for animals who need urgent veterinary care.
