BEHAVIORAL TRAINING

If training your dog isn’t working, you are likely dealing with a behavior issue. CRCCS provides a variety of programs and services designed to help you and your dog overcome these behaviors and learn a new way of life. Whatever the challenge, we can help!

HOSPICE CARE

We provide hospice care for shelter dogs nearing end of life with no potential adoption in site. We take them on a few last wish adventures and provide a safe and loving environment to live out the rest of their days. Feeling comfort and love before they say goodbye…it’s a beautiful thing.

DAY CAMP

We provide low-cost socialization, basic training and/or confidence building for your canine. 100% of funds raised go directly to helping CRCCS dogs in recovery.

SLEEPOVERS

Did you adopt from CRCCS? Or maybe your dog isn’t welcome (or isn’t comfortable) at daycare or other boarding facilities. Don’t worry, we speak dog! We provide fun overnight (or a few nights) support with our sleep-over program, ensuring your pet has a safe and happy place to stay while you’re away.

Max

HAPPY, FRIENDLY, AND ENGAGING

Est. Birth: 2018
Weight: 80 pounds

Max is a sweet Fox Red Labrador Retriever who is ready for his retirement years in a joyful home. He has shared his life with mature individuals as well as another smaller dog. Due to some unfortunate circumstances, Max needs a new space to call home. He is fun and spunky on leash with a jaunty walk and big ol’ smile. Very smart, he’ll charm his way to earn a treat or two if given the chance. Max has enjoyed plenty of time at local dog daycares, where he has lots of friends, both human and canine. He comes from a regal line of hunting dogs, yet Max is a gentleman. He enjoys a pampered life as opposed to hitting the fields and forests. But he is not lazy. He is experienced!

I AM REALLY GOOD AT: making new friends, especially people who are nice to me. I’ve experienced a lot in life and I’m not slowing down. Happy to ‘toot my own horn’…I’m a cool guy!

I AM AT MY BEST WHEN: I get to have lots of fun on walks and playtime, then I can rest.

I DON’T REALLY LOVE: water getting in my ears.

I NEED SOME HELP WITH: keeping my good manners. I’ve taken a lot of classes and can show you how I am a really good boy. …buuuuuuut…sometimes I get excited to greet people and forget to keep my paws on the ground. Hoping to find a patient parent to help me retain some structure.

WHAT I REALLY WANT YOU TO KNOW ABOUT ME: Okay, so I might be tiptoeing into my senior years, but I’m not ready to slow down just yet. I love to explore and engage with my people. I am not the retiree who wants to sit and knit. I’m the kind of retiree who wants to explore and focus on my favorite activities. Let’s do that together!

Finny

SPUNKY, INQUISITIVE, AND ENTHUSIASTIC

Weight: 50 pounds:

This little bundle of joy is Finny. She is a happy and playful dog who is very eager to learn more about this wild world. She has spent too much of her young life awaiting a chance. Finny was found on the streets of Stockton, CA, and then made her way to beautiful Nevada in hopes of landing a forever home full of adventures. This smart lady is primed and ready to learn and grow. Treats are her love language, which makes training fun. Her giant smile and perky ears will brighten anyone’s day. Finny is learning to meet dogs and people gently. She has been doing very well practicing leash manners, processing new environments, and growing in confidence.

I AM REALLY GOOD AT: making you smile with my adorable ears and happy-go-lucky grin.

I AM AT MY BEST WHEN: provided guidance, structure, and positive enrichment.

I DON’T REALLY LOVE: strangers or strange dogs rushing up on me…however, once I know you, we can be buds. I just need a good leader who helps me to learn about new people, dogs, and environments.

I NEED SOME HELP WITH: meeting new people and dogs. My bubbly personality can be a lot for some dogs, but I just want to understand. I’m working on my skills and would really like to have a confident leader to encourage me to make good decisions.

WHAT I REALLY WANT YOU TO KNOW ABOUT ME: I’m a young gal, ready to explore, learn, and grow with my people/person. I bring fun energy with me, so only cool people with cool vibes should apply.
