Champ has come a long way since first arriving at CRCCS. He was confused, having bounced around to multiple homes and shelters. So we put our skills to work and Champ blossomed with the structure and routine. He quickly became a staff and volunteer favorite. Champ builds deep relationships with his people. He’s cute, cuddling and an angel with his toys.
Champ holds a certification for AKC Novice Trick Dog! He absolutely loves car rides, adventures, belly rubs, and toys. Champ needs to be introduced to proper introductions to strangers, and is still learning how to politely meet other dogs. He will need continued structure to help him stay calm in exciting situations. Champ needs a home that can take him on adventures and enjoy his silly antics. He will need to be the only child (both fury and human) so he can continue his structure. A low-stimulus environment would be best. He would love to focus on giving his humans all of his affection and attention, and he has a lot of it to give!
I AM REALLY GOOD AT: Snuggles…truly, I would win the gold medal with my smooth Budda-like belly and super sweet skills at cuddling up with my favorite people.
I AM AT MY BEST WHEN: Exploring and finding adventures…I love riding in the car!!!!!
I DON’T REALLY LOVE: Strangers are challenging for me, but once we have a safe introduction, and we are friends, you’ll see why I am everyone’s favorite guy.
I NEED SOME HELP WITH: Making new friends. As mentioned, it can be hard for me to accept new people but then I really love my friends. Having a buddy or family that helps me keep positive relationships.
WHAT I REALLY WANT YOU TO KNOW ABOUT ME: I’m a lot of fun. I love my toys and I am a good boy with them. Happy to share them with you, and they keep me entertained when you are away. I’m a mushy, sensitive guy yet have big muscles when I need them. I really want someone who sees me for all that I am…sweet, gentle, loving and at the same time, I can be active, bouncy and ready to rock! Plus…everyone says I am so handsome and I have cute little teef that look oh so adorable in pictures.
