Storm is not like his name. He is not fierce, he is not harsh, nor is he one to brace for. This majestic boy is gentle, relaxed, curious yet cautious. Storm and his brothers came to CRCCS as puppies. He has had experience being adopted, but it didn’t last. Our Storm is not one to fear, but instead, one to understand. Many would call him “aloof” or “shy”. However this beautiful Storm is multilayered. He needs confident guidance, structure and peace to feel secure. Earning his trust is a lottery worth winning. Storm is quite social with other dogs, and participates in many training sessions as the perfect dog buddy. We know it will take a super special home and family that give Storm a safe space and ample time to settle in. But we also see the potential and know Storm is capable of so much more.
- I AM REALLY GOOD AT: knowing when there are treats present.
- I AM AT MY BEST WHEN: space is provided, allowing me to inspect the situation.
- I DON’T REALLY LOVE: people getting too close to me. I’m very sensitive and need to go at my pace.
- I NEED SOME HELP WITH: building confidence and trust.
- WHAT I REALLY WANT YOU TO KNOW ABOUT ME: I’m not your average husky. Sure I am goofy, athletic and incredibly handsome, but I have some hesitations with new people and things. Having a routine really helps me understand what is next and what is expected of me. This gives me confidence to continue. Help me be brave by giving me patience and structure.
