Max Anderson

Overall l walked away with a good impression of the staff, polite, professional and they seem to be willing to take on the problem dogs which is no small feat. I give them credit for what they are striving to do there.

Julia Miller

Don’t shop, adopt! They are a wonderful organization that helps dogs. Very caring and friendly people here. I found my Abby here. Also a great place to volunteer to walk the dogs.

Dominic Taylor

Staff is friendly and the dogs love going there. They have helped rehome dogs that are difficult to place matching the dogs needs with new owners.

Sir Douglas
Sir Douglas

PLAYFUL, DAPPER, AND ENGAGING
• Est. Birth: 2024
• Weight: 38 pounds

Doug is a lively young dog who will thrive with consistent guidance and a confident handler dedicated to helping him grow. He’s highly engaging and very food-motivated., which makes training and learning new routines both rewarding and fun for everyone involved. Doug would do best in an adult-only home where he can enjoy being the center of attention, soaking up both structure and affection. He’s looking for an active person that can include him on adventures. Oh, and he really enjoys the water and running on a long line, so Doug has requested hiking adventures.

I AM REALLY GOOD AT: making dog friends with a proper introduction. I’m a pretty friendly guy and enjoy playing…and I am super good at matching other dogs’ energy.

I AM AT MY BEST WHEN: I get to play in the water and run around! I love to explore new spaces…with you right by my side.

I DON’T REALLY LOVE: when things are chaotic, lacking structure. Children bring that kind of chaos sometimes and I get nervous…we are both still learning. I also do not appreciate fast paced strangers coming up on me and reaching for me…I need a little time to learn about strangers.

I NEED SOME HELP WITH: meeting strangers and adapting to stressful situations.

WHAT I REALLY WANT YOU TO KNOW ABOUT ME: I’m a really cool dog with so much potential. I’m looking for someone who wants to take on the world one day at a time with a little curiosity to seek adventure, and a lot of heart…just like me.

Oswald
Oswald

HANDSOME, SMART, AND COOL
• Est. Birth: 2018
• Weight: 70 pounds

If Disney needs a poster dog for their next franchise, Oswald is it!!!!

He is so handsome, with an award winning smile that makes anyone swoon. This man has worked very hard to become a wonderful sidekick and best buddy. He is gentle on leash, attentive with his handler and eager to learn more. Like many shepherds, he can be vocal about his feelings when in the presence of unruly dogs. But with a little consistency of good manners, Oswald is a lovely gentleman. Oswald enjoys time with toys, perfecting his tricks or just a romp on the trails. He will be a fantastic addition to any active family or a perfect partner for a single adult.

I AM REALLY GOOD AT: learning and listening to my handler.

I AM AT MY BEST WHEN: provided with mental stimulation and positive leadership.

I DON’T REALLY LOVE: being bored. I enjoy staying active and engaging with my people while exploring the world around me.

I NEED SOME HELP WITH: meeting new people and dogs. I can take or leave most dogs, they are not as interesting to me as people. Once someone isn’t a stranger to me, we can be buds!

WHAT I REALLY WANT YOU TO KNOW ABOUT ME: I have lived in a home and was a really good boy during that time. My mommy had health issues so I needed to come back to my CRCCS family. As much as I love this family, I really want to be back in a house with my own people. I’m clean, friendly, sweet and affectionate. Just give me a chance…I’m a rockstar!!!!

Ahsoka

EXPRESSIVE, FRIENDLY AND PRECIOUS
• Est. Birth: 2020
• Weight: 19 pounds

It will take more than the Force to refrain from falling for this little bundle of joy!

Miss Ahsoka is fun, spunky, affectionate, smart, hilarious, and just the *right* amount of opinionated. She’s the kind of dog who keeps life entertaining and makes every day better just by being in it. We believe Ahsoka is a Heeler / Boston Terrier mix. She is very happy with her people and loves the opportunity to run, play and make you giggle. Ahsoka is a peace-keeper. She can be vocal when in the presence of loud, high energy dogs. Aksoka might be little but she is definitely mighty. Treat motivated, which makes training and playtime a lot of fun.

I AM REALLY GOOD AT: focusing on my person. I love to engage on a deep level.

I AM AT MY BEST WHEN: provided with confident leadership and clear expectations.

I DON’T REALLY LOVE: loud and rude dogs yelling at me.

I NEED SOME HELP WITH: keeping my emotions in check. I am a sensitive gal and energy affects my mood. So I like to keep a chill vibe.

WHAT I REALLY WANT YOU TO KNOW ABOUT ME: I am a happy girl who loves to please and make my people smile. I’m all about the treats and affection from my family. Although I have lived with other dogs, I really prefer my space from pushy dogs. Being so adorable has its upsides…but some people do not listen to me and then I have to get louder. I would rather have someone who understands me and knows what makes me stay calm and cool.

Westly

LOYAL, WIGGLY AND ENGAGING
• Est. Birth: 2021
• Weight: 60 pounds

Westly is that joyful combination of a husky and pitbull. The fancy term is “Pitsky”, but we think this gentleman is much more than an estimated breed mix. He’s a gem! Westley is sweet, goofy, and incredibly affectionate. He loves snuggling just as much as he loves an outdoor adventure. He bonds closely with his people and has a huge heart. He’s also a strong, sensitive dog who needs an experienced owner comfortable managing a reactive dog. CRCCS saw a huge shift in Westley’s reactivity with hard work and commitment. Westly is a wonderful student! He loves to learn and please his handlers. Westly will thrive in a stable, patient home with no small animals and room to play and decompress.

I AM REALLY GOOD AT: playing and engaging with my people. Relationships are very important to me. When I feel safe and accepted, I get silly and show off my wiggles. I love a good lounge spot and my favorite chew to put my energy towards.

I AM AT MY BEST WHEN: I get daily exercise as well as quiet time to decompress. Routine and structure help me to build confidence and understand what is next.

I DON’T REALLY LOVE: meeting anxious people. I’m a sensitive guy so if you are nervous, it makes me nervous. I’m also not comfortable with unexpected, loud noises.

I NEED SOME HELP WITH: other animals. I have dog friends but I am selective on who I let into my friendship circle. Small fluffy creatures as well as livestock are too stimulating for me. Best for me to stick with humans and gentle dogs around my size.

WHAT I REALLY WANT YOU TO KNOW ABOUT ME: When I love, I love hard with unyielding loyalty. When you show me and treat me with respect I feel loved and part of the pack. I’m silly and goofy and love to be held. I’m really excitable and intelligent. I have the biggest heart and just want to love and be loved.
